Movie Review: CHRONICLE

So I took some time this weekend to go and see this movie, and I have to say, with a few exceptions, those being the Batman series, this was a real breath of fresh air to me. Now we all know that superheroes and supervillains are nothing new. The origins of such are not new either. But the way they went about the telling of the story, the style the film was shot in, and the development of the characters was really fun. This movie had an excellent mix of everything that makes a movie entertaining. It had drama, it had love, it had comedy, and more importantly it was rife with angst. The moral subplot of the film was done very well. I feel like it took every question in our minds as to what WE would do if we had superpowers, and made them come to fruition in this film. I can't count how many times I said to myself, 'I would TOTALLY do that!'

The main plot of the film focused on one character in particular... Andrew. That recurring theme was, "What's wrong with Andrew?" and by golly this movie told us what's WRONG with Andrew. The character though very cliche in origin was told and built up very well. I feel the approach that was taken made him very appealing. He made a few mistakes but was the quickest to harness and control his power. All of this played into the role he would play as a character. For all comic fans out there who have their favorite villains, this film succeeded in making you have a ton of feelings for the character who later becomes the villain. You understand him, you feel for him, you love him, and you also hate him. That's all I'm gonna say on that, or else I'm gonna end up telling you parts of the film, and I don't want to spoil that for anyone.

Just like any story, the film has a few plot holes in it. The biggest one is the moment after they received their powers. I feel like they simply just decided to forget about it, and move forward. You will figure out what I am talking about when you see this movie for yourself. But it's something that made what could have been an AMAZING story, only a good one. There are many more throughout the film that will admittedly have you scratching your head wondering what ever happened to...? The most amazing thing about the film that I can say is what all huge superhero fans look at, and that is the POWERS! There was not one single time where I didn't feel that I was with those guys each and every step of their journey. The special effects were so amazing, and clean, it's really hard to nitpick at certain things, though it does have very few things you will notice, but they aren't really important.

All in all, Chronicle was a very well done film, with a cohesive cast that definitely had chemistry and worked well together making the whole movie believable. And for the type of film this was, I think believebility is very important. And for every second I was watching, I thought there were 3 dudes out there somewhere with superpowers. This is a GREAT date movie, because there's not so much bang bang beat em up, and there is just enough drama and romance to keep your girl entertained. And it even passes the muster as a superhero film, as it met all the criteria we see in the comics translated very well onto film. If I have to give this movie a rating, I give it a 4/5. I will be seeing this movie at least one more time and then buying this piece on DVD.

Humbled this week I must say. I did some new pieces, and was a bit on a Star Wars vibe as well and managed to sprinkle in a Black Cat as well. The prices on the auctions were adjusted. A lot of the same items from last week are up again this week on eBay due to an extremely unsuccessful week of selling. The new catalog is almost finished and will be mailed out by the end of the day today. Again the same items will be up with these three items as well. This week I've got tons of artwork to sell because I need to earn some cash for personal reasons, and also get my studio off the ground. I hope these auctions appeal to different fans out there, because a few of these I have never drawn before to the best of my knowledge.
Big Barda from DC Comics, one of Darkseid's former furies, She-Hulk, Black Widow (who is ALWAYS fun to draw), Psylocke, Black Canary (had the auction up before and sold for $60, but the buyer didn't pay.), and Selene the Deathdealer from the Underworld movie series.

I also raised some prices of my artwork as I found that I was losing money, due to shipping costs. I have been mailing EVERYTHING Priority Mail, and have been dropping $5 a pop US, and $16 a pop international, just on shipping alone. That means with my old pricing, I was only making $5 a drawing for US and $0 for international. NO BUENO!!! So I have raised the prices, to a flat starting bid of $25 w/ FREE SHIPPING, and unfortunately for those outside the US, they pay shipping of $10. Again, this will be priority shipping w/ a tracking number which will be emailed when shipped.

The Seven going on hiatus!

Unfortunately, at the moment, the project that I have labored and put so much time into right now has to be put on the back burner right now. The graphic novel project I have talked so much about called The Seven is unfortunately going on a hiatus. A bit of creative differences as well as conflicting schedules and family have put this project on the halt for a while. I'm not about to call out anyone or point fingers as to who to blame, but I will say that I am a bit disappointed.

I'm going to be taking a lot of the things that have been working on and shelving the project for a while until I can create a great team that has a cohesive drive and commitment to the projects that we are putting out. For right now, this was not the time, and honestly, if it's not going to be done right, then I am glad that we came to the crossroads right now, and stopped where it is now before going too far and having a bad time later.

I want to take the time to apologize to all the folks waiting so long for this project, and the supporters through means of the comments and those faving the artwork. I really appreciate it, and know that when it is time to take on this project again, that you will be back on this bandwagon supporting the Seven once again.

If you have read my journal this far, I thank you, and know that I appreciate you. A few weeks back, someone here on DA left a message on my page saying that the name of my studio, Obsidian Studios brought chills. And because of that, he knew that we were serious and that we are going places. I'm here to tell you from experience, that a name means absolutely NOTHING is there is no action behind it, and nothing to give people to look forward to. I'm going to put my focus and time and energy into this project and give you all a reason to be fans of Obsidian Studios. I'm hoping that the full completion of the Black Dame will inspire people to continue to work with me and be committed to a serious endeavor and help me do everything to tell more of my stories. Because honestly, that's all I want to do. I just want to tell and share my stories.

New DC Comics Logo

So DC unveiled it's new logo for their entire entertainment division today. I'm not gonna lie, when I first saw the logo, I was like most of us out there who generally just look at something, and then make a snap decision that I either like it or love it without really finding out why something was done in the way it was.

Being an old school DC fan boy, and being generally pleased with the recent changes made to the comic characters and such, this almost came from out of nowhere. I get on the internet and BAM! DC has a new logo. I thought, 'Wait... Didn't they JUST revamp the logo a couple years ago? But I realized that it's almost been ten years since that revamp; so I guess it was about time.

I'm not gonna tell you everything in the article as to why they changed it, but I thought there were some solid reasons and the marketing reasons behind it made a lot of sense. Now as to if it will be something that new fans will easily recognize??? I think that will take some time, as the logo still takes some getting used to. But going with the secret identity angle that DC is so well known for is a pretty neat concept. Things like this show that people see and recognize 2012 as a new year of change and new possibilities.

So to us, the independent creators out there, lets be sure to follow suit and keep up with the times and get ourselves out there! Let me know what you think of this article, and go check out the article!

Power Girl Colors

I have been on a mission this year to up my digital coloring game. I think i have been doing alright thus far. I did a piece just last week 100% digitally, and now I decided to do some colors over some work of one of my favorite comic artists, Marcio Takara. He did the lines on this Power Girl, and I just had to do it. I tried some new tricks, and attempted to figure out a new and quick way to color my digital images. I am getting the hang of it, but I know that it will take some time. Anyway, let me know what you guys think.

Also in the next month or so, I will be doing commissions, and having special prices for this year, as well as doing digital commissions. This is something I have never done before. So keep on the lookout! Enjoy guys!

2012... The Year of Change

No, I'm not talking about nickels and dimes change, I'm talking about change ranging from physically, mentally, monetarily, and artistically. There are many things I'm going to be doing different. Yeas past I would do things for a while, and not complete them. If I didn't do them, I always came up with an excuse, either as to why not to do something, or why it was too hard. NO MORE. I also used to pile on more than I could chew. Take on things when I couldn't do them all even though I thought I could. Back in 2010, I focused solely on White Ninja Guy, and I ended up going to my first comic con the following year because of it.

So this year those of you that follow me faithfully will see this new change. Here are a few of those,

1. Gonna lose weight (if you guys met me you will know why)
2. Better husband and father (continuous thing right there)
3. Focus on one comic project and put my all into it (The Seven)
4. Build and rebuild friendships
5. Create and build connections and resources with my community and fans.
6. Get a lockdown on my spirituality. (Personal thing, dont' worry I wont bible thump u guys to death)
7. Earn cash to get Obsidian Studios off the ground (Commissions, eBay, and Art Site)

The biggest thing I want to do artistically from this list is communicate and build my fanbase more. I know that I have disconnected a bit. I need to know what that means to you guys though. I'm gonna put up a poll where instead of picking an answer, I really want you guys to communicate to me how you want your favorite artists to communicate with you. That is either me, or your other favorite artist. I just want to know and hear it so that I can apply that and be there even more for you guys as an artist.

Daily sketch a day...

The Question: Renee Montoya

Just felt inspired to do this today. I had never drawn The Question before today, and I wanted to do something so that I could practice on my digital skills in regard to inking and drawing and so forth. This is the product of that practice. This took about say, 2 hours to do, all 100% Photoshop.

This is something that I think would look good as a shirt or something like that. But for right now, it's gonna be a print. I'm going to slap some colors on this soon, but not right now. I will have it done in time for the Con season though. I'm gonna do both a Black and White, and Color Print for these. I'm hoping that with the low price I'm putting on these bad boys that they will go fast.

I'm allowing folks to color the picture here, so if you are an aspiring colorist looking to get some practice, then don't hesitate to drop me an email and a request. I do take commissions by the way. The Seven Graphic Novel Indie Go-Go Campaign

Hey guys, I'm back to let you know what's going on right now! I have been working on my graphic novel The Seven for over a year now, and after getting started with the lineart, and reading the script more, I decided that I didn't like it, and that I wanted to start over in the story. This time around I brought on another writer to help work with my current writer on the story Ricky Burnett to get this thing going. I am going to revamp the story to be a more realistic and believable story.

Last night, I started a crowdfunding campaign over on Indie Go-Go to bring the first part of this graphic novel to life. CAINE is the first story in this book, and it will be made into a stand alone comic. This is being done for the purpose of promotion and to get the story into your hands to whet the appetite for the graphic novel. I plan on running a bigger campaign in the future on Kickstarter, but need help right now raising funds for a colorist to do the book for us. I have a goal of $2000 right now, and I really really need your help in two ways; either by spreading the word about my book, or by actually donating and helping us get this book rolling. Surfer of the Cosmos

This is the newest Silver Surfer piece that I did today. I am very proud of it, and is a far better improvement from the last Surfer piece I did earlier this year. This one here took me a good 3 hours to do, and I put a lot into this pic. I am selling it on my IDWalker Art Sales page, and hope that it sells soon. The minds of children are the most imaginative vehicles of thought, and wonder I know. I came across this site by means of a Twitter feed in which Adrienne Curry brought to light. It's a site where this artist Dave DeVries took a simple childs drawing, and added texture, three dimension and reality to it as much as possible, and came up with some of the coolest, most original artwork I have ever seen in a long time. Artistic Inspiration: Drake - Take Care

I'm gonna be a bit off of the mark right now, and do some thing I have wanted to do for a while, and talk about something different, which is another love of mine... MUSIC!

I LOVE RnB, and I love certain kinds of rap. Most of it is garbage right now because I think it all talks about the same things... Girls, Money, Drugs, etc...

I have been listening to Drake's new album, Take Care, and though I still can't call myself a Drake fan, I can tell you that I really really enjoyed this album. This album had a straight line of hearts going down as I liked nearly every track on this album. It had heart, talked about real life things I could relate to. The beats were really nice, and it showed off this dude's singing ability. My favorite track is Headlines, and my favorite line "Shout out to the asian girls, so let the lights Dim Sum." I fell out of my chair when I heard that line.

I wanted to talk about something different on this blog and let you guys know a bit more about me as an artist and what inspires me when I do my artwork. This is one of the things I have been listening to that have helped me to push the envelope on my artwork. Got more pics coming soon though!

The Seven Comic Pages

Here are the pages of the upcoming comic book from my independent comic studio Obsidian Studios. I have been hard at work over the last few weeks putting together pages for this comic book, working hours after the day job to put this thing together. So far it's a blast, and I'm having a great time. The comic book is called The SEVEN, and it is a science fiction graphic novel created by myself, and written by Ricky Burnett. The comic will have some special artwork, pinups and covers done by various artists.

The first book of the 8 part story arc is called CAINE. Which tells the story of the main character, and leader of The SEVEN Allister Caine. He is an ex space detective who has had enough of his job, and because of circumstances in his work has decided to follow his dreams and his own path. The first issue interiors will be done by myself, and the cover artwork will be done by Stacy 'Jujika' Walker. This particular story will be released as a stand alone issue.

I am asking that you all please spread the word and join us in the journey of bringing the SEVEN to life. I plan on releasing the book at WonderCon 2012 in Los Angeles, and hope to build a decent following and buzz up to the day. Below are two of the inked pages of the book for your viewing pleasure. New Poster and news on The Seven

It was necessary! This is Rudolph Maynard, the second character in my sci-fi graphic novel and comic The Seven, produced by my Obsidian Studios! This is a new print poster that I did that complements the Allister Caine poster print that was done a year ago by Carlos Hernandez. I will be doing one more poster of this type as a part of my marketing campaign for the comic. These posters are the phase one process. Don't be surprised if you see copies of these images in your local comic shops.

In the next few days, I will be working on getting some other videos done to help the marketing plan as well as getting my crowdfunding video done. I think I will be going with Kickstarter. I'm in for a looong few weeks, but I anticipate great success if I stay focused! I will let you folks know how we are doing as the project moves forward in the next couple of weeks. Wonder Woman Pinup

Hey folks, what's goin on? I decided to do something different with my day off today to get myself focused. I have a task of getting pics done to put up on eBay this week. I put on my Obsidian Studios t-shirt and jeans, and started to get to work. I was really focused, and I busted out with some nice artwork. One of those is this Wonder Woman right here.

The first here is the lineart of the drawing. Wonder Woman is always so fun to draw. Below is the final colored version using Prismacolors, Copics and a Sharpie poster paint pen to do the stars and hair. It was really fulfilling, and afterward I thought it looked pretty good.

I'm going to be putting this up on eBay in the next few days, so be on the lookout for the video to follow soon!

This is the latest Dick Tracy piece that I just finished up tonight. I always have tons of fun when drawing Dick Tracy. I wonder what it would be like to do a comic of this guy? Sexy Rogue (requested by the wife!)

My wife had been asking me to draw Rogue for a while. I gotta be honest, I had been ignoring it because I didn't want to draw another static pose. She finally asked me again, and described the request, and this is what came of it. Yes... my mouth dropped open. I showed it to her and she loved it. Supergirl Rebooted

So here is a new Supergirl in the new costume redesigned by DC for the reboot campaign. I have to admit that I kind of like the new suit. But that's just me. The piece is 9 x 12 bristol and done with my usual traditional materials. I have been studying various marker techniques to add to my design arsenal and learn something new. This seems to be doing well so far.

This piece is up on eBay right now for a low price, and is only up on the weekend with a low starting bid. So if you can, please bid and get your hands on this now. Either way, let me know what you think of it will you? I would appreciate it!

Anyway, I have never drawn the Arkham Asylum version of Harley Quinn. Personally I'm still a fan of the old school, but that's just the kind of guy I am. Comics For the WIN!!!

This could mean a variety of things. Perhaps an introspective view on the current state of the comics industry today. Or about a childhood love of one of my favorite past times, which is reading comic books. But this isn't about that. At least not today it isn't. I am talking about a local comic book shop in my city of Santa Rosa. The shop has been open for a few months, and they are great! It is a clean, down to earth shop, and run by a great guy named Kris Bartolome.

I stopped into the store with my son, and spoke with him a bit, and being the comic lover he is, he seems to have created the store that most comic afficianados will be starting to call home really soon. He is a lover of the classics, supportive of the new stuff coming out, and in love with indy lines. In fact today in discussion, I talked to him about my comic book White Ninja Guy. Kris immediately loved the idea that a Sonoma County artist wanted to show him his book. And as I told him more about it, he went further, letting me know that he wanted to actually SELL my comics in his store! You have no idea how ecstatic I was with this. I came back later on in the night to bring over a few copies of my book, and 2010 convention sketchbook. I ended up talking with him more about my projects coming down the pike and then he asked the mother of all questions to an up and coming comic artist... "Would you like to do a signing at my store when White Ninja Guy #1 is released?"

I kept my composure... And calmly replied... "I'm down for sure man." The smile inside and out couldn't have been wider. All of what has happened has taught me a few things. One... it never hurts to ask. If you don't ask, then you will never know if someone will support you and your endeavors. And two... Never to give up and to keep going with what I am doing. Things are moving quite well, and I am even more excited about the movement! So I just wanted to take the time to tell Kris on this blog THANKS SO MUCH PIMPIN!!! Now, off to my bed!

Black Dame Commission

This kind of warmed my heart up a bit. I have a regular client who is a big fan of my artwork that buys my stuff over on eBay on a regular basis. When I asked him what he wanted for a commission, he said that he wanted a drawing of my original Obsidian Studios character The Black Dame in a swimsuit. Talk about something I want to draw, eh!?

The drawing was supposed to be originally done on 11 x 14 bristol, but because of his loyalty and being such a great client, I did 11 x 17, and did head to thigh. I'm gonna throw in some extra goodies for him too. Your a king of clients Daniel!

Yes, it's a big debut! I went out today and bought a FLIP Video minoHD camcorder today, and I filmed my first YouTube video with it. I'm still learning some things, but I think it did really good. I hope to get some tips soon on it. Either way, I'm going to be putting up some more vids up in the coming weeks. I'm going to do more tutorials, and video blogs as well so you all can see my cute face. Right now, enjoy the video, and I ask you folks to please please please subscribe to my channel and spread the word as much as you can. Darkseid... The symbol of my skill

I kind of feel like this after coming out of my hiatus. I feel more confident in my artwork. This Darkseid above shows it, and I can't wait to share it all with the world in the next few months.

White Ninja Guy #1 will be finished and off to the printer by the end of August. After which another couple of strips of Life: The Ultimate Hater will be done and put into the book as well. After those projects are done, then it's going to be off to finish The Seven. It's time to get mighty!

I'm BACK!!! And better than ever!

Hey folks, I know it has been a minute since I have put up a new post. Now that I think about it, last year's WonderCon was the last time I put something up. That's a bit sad. But I have been working like a dog as a Personal Banker at Wells Fargo (hit me up artists if you want an account to separate your funds from bills, and art stuff so u can write it off!), and taking care of family and home.

But over these last few weeks I have been putting pen to pad again in full swing; and I feel like I come back with a new confidence everytime I take a break and then come back. These two pieces are some things I did when I came back. I was bitten by the UDON bug and came up with these.

Again, these are some of my best to date. These would be good to do at cons, don't you think!?

Speaking of Cons, I'm going through an interesting thought process for what I want to do for this years con season, and debating a few things. White Ninja Guy #1 is almost completed, and the Seven is almost ready to go to the drawing board for production. Also, another book I'm doing is a compilation of comic strips that I started doing last year called LIFE - The Ultimate Hater.

I'm thinking about skipping APE Con this year to fully concentrate on putting out these quality books so that when WonderCon hits next year, I will be able to bring out some quality work, and product that you guys will enjoy. Plus this will give me another couple of months to focus on this. On the other hand, I'm also thinking that I should finish White Ninja Guy #1 and debut it at APE Con just to help promote Obsidian Studios and myself to get the word out. Oh my god, what to do!!! I'm sure I will figure it out. Either way, no matter what I do, it will be great.

In the next few weeks, I'm going to be launching a whole new online campaign, in the hopes to draw more to my site and get potential fans ready for what's coming this year and next year. I'm really excited about it. In the mean time keep looking for more artwork and more musings. I plan on being really active for the next few months cause I'm not going anywhere!

WonderCon 2011... The Experience

Hands down, this WonderCon was one of the best experiences of my entire life. I came to the con with very low expectations being that I was an artist this year, and that since I would be at my table most of the time, and miss out on the opportunity to lick Morena Baccarin in the face and smell her hair, that I would be lucky if I got a few numbers and some cool art with less than mediocre sales.

Boy was I wrong!

Exhibit 1 - Cloak and Dagger

The con hadn't even gotten it's feet off the ground after it had been open for 15 minutes, when a very nice gentleman walks over and peruses my art portfolio. He goes back to this Cloak and Dagger more than 3 times, and when it was over he says "This is going home with me today... How much, $105?" (The extremely underpriced price of this item) Folks after 10 minutes of WonderCon beginning, I had over $100 in my pocket.

This had taken things to another extreme for me. This had made up for all of the failed commission offers I had been putting up on DA for months, and all of the hard work I put into everything I had done. And I appreciated that fully.

I met martial arts greats Bob Wall and Jim Kelly from Enter the Dragon. It was one of the nicest experiences to watch my father turn back into a 10 year old boy as he met his childhood heroes. By the way... Bob Wall LOVES ME!!!

My parents and my family are AMAZING! Even my kid did well, and he had an amazing time. I will post more of that later on, as well as some very important things that I learned during my time at my first WonderCon. Stay tuned folks! Talk to you later!

WonderCon Artist Alley Location REVEALED!!!

My WonderCon Artist Alley Location this year will be AA-143! It's official folks! I will be at the Con in name only, but will be promoting some Obsidian Studios stuff there at the show. People can get their hands on White Ninja Guy: One Shot, which will be debuting the official and public introduction to Obsidians' flagship character White Ninja Guy. This book will be signed by me, and limited to a FINAL 50 copies! After this Con is over, and the issues are all sold, I will no longer be selling this comic! Also at this con, I will be selling copies of my 2010 sketchbook; Introducing: The Sketches of Ian Walker. I am looking forward to this event and getting hard copies of my publications out there to you all. Along with my original art pieces, I will be selling pre-made sketchcards, fan art prints, and other promotional materials related to future Obsidian Studios projects.

I am also doing a promotion right now for you potential Moonwatchers out there. Here is the scoop... I have t-shirts made over on Zazzle, which is my Obsidian Studios Merchandise store. (link is in the top links area on the main blog page). I am doing a promotion right now, letting everyone know, that if you buy a shirt, and wear the shirt at the Con, and come over to my table with it on, then you will get a FREE FULL COLOR 8.5 x 11 Commission from me of one character of your choice. What's going on!???

So an update of what is going on is in order. So first the bad stuff. I had some news this past week that put a HUGE damper on my plans to attend WonderCon in the short 3 months that I need to get there. I have been literally saving pennies to get there because I have been using some of the money saved to get there, and now all I have is $200. This is not enough however to cover my costs for prints, and publications that I have coming out. This time, I don't want disappointment or another unforseen occurrence to stop me from accomplishing the thing I have wanted to do for the last 3 years. Though I had become extremely discouraged, I have decided to get up and do something about it. However, all my money is now going to something else, and there is no extra money for me to save even though I have a full time job. So I am going to ask for your help DA. I really want to get to WonderCon 2011 this year, and I need your help and support in doing so.

I am going to take some $10 sketch commissions, black and white sketch drawing of fan art, or original characters. All of these will be $10 each. Add an additional $5 for simple color. I am not asking for a handout as I think this is tacky, but I want to work hard for this goal like I have for everything I have. So please please support me and help me get to WonderCon by buying a commission for me! Each commission is $10 and they will be a simple bust shot of whatever character you want; fanart or original characters. They will be drawn on 8.5 x 11 cardstock paper and sent in protected envelopes. If you want a character, please send me a note either here, or on my personal page with the character you want. Only request that it be no nudity! Thanks so much!

Now for the good stuff. I still am really grateful when people come around that are excited to see my material that I am slowly working on. I tell you a full time job sure makes your side projects come to a crawl. However, one of the weekends I had free was a great one when I went to a beer bar with some family, and I found that my wifes cousin was a HUGE fan and a collector of so many things. I talked to him at length and honestly at this point I was in a bit of a slump. So I had been talking to him, and when he asked me about when White Ninja Guy #1 was coming, his eyes lit up! He went on and on about how he was telling friends and other family and other collectors in his area. This lit the fire again in me to keep going and make some changes. So BIG UP TO MISTAH J!!!

So with that said, I have been sitting down for the last few days and trying to plot out a plan as to what to do. I am currently going to be continuing work on Obsidian Studios new project Seven, and I am doing a complete revamp of White Ninja Guy #1. This will be released in April of this year, and Seven will be released later on in the year. So keep up to date on this, and follow us. Help us get to WonderCon 2011. Cartoon Style Artwork - Flash & Wonder Woman

I have began doing some artwork in a cartoony style that I am trying to learn and perfect. In an effort to step up my art game, I'm doing different styles in an effort to create a personal art arsenal of skills that I can bring up whenever necessary. This style was inspired by some of my favorite artists. Bill Presing, and Shane Glines. Also the inking work of Marcio Takara is very inspirational as well, and has prodded me to take on learning the brush inking style. Here are two art pieces I did of two heroes from the DC universe. I plan on doing more, and more big pieces. These right now are miniature greeting cards that are fun to do. Let me know what you guys think.

Introducing... The Sketches of Ian Walker - 2010 Sketchbook

This is the newest sketchbook that I am coming out with this year. Being that I am taking my artwork seriously more now, and since I have about 8 months to get my name out there a bit before WonderCon 2011, I felt that it was time to create a brand new sketch book.

This sketchbook is called: Introducing... The Sketches of Ian Walker. It is going to be a 24 pg sketchbook and will be fulled with black and white sketches, pinups, and other line art most that have not been seen. But just a note for you all that this book will contain mostly ROUGH UNFINISHED sketches. The finished works within, or inked works will be few, but they will be there. My purpose is to create a SKETCHBOOK. Not finished pinup sketches.

The last page of the book will be left blank for sketches in the back for a free one of a kind sketch for those that purchase one from me. The cover will be a glossy card stock, and it will cost $10 + $2 U.S/$5 overseas. If you would like to get a special B&W sketch card with your purchase of whatever character you choose, add an additional $10 to the total. So this is a deal you are getting. A sketchbook AND a B&W Inked Custom sketch card for $20! What more could you want!?

This sketchbook will be available for purchase solely through mail order either here by note, or through my blog. This will be limited to only 100 copies. The book will be available for purchase on October 1, 2010.

HOWEVER!!! Right now, 15 copies are available NOW for Pre-Order. The limit is one per person. ALL PRE-ORDERS WILL GET THE SKETCH CARD INCLUDED FREE!!! This applies ONLY if you pre-order before Oct 1. Drawing a blank...

So I have gone on and drawn the entire Justice League Chibis, and I have drawn up X-Men Chibi's as well! I am having so much fun drawing these little guys that now I need to know what other group of superhero chibis I should draw up next! Do you guys have any ideas? Any suggestions? I would like to know what they are. Let me know guys because I need to get to drawing soon. I drew up the last of the JLA Chibis, which is Aquaman.
